Procedure

  1. Open the Inkscape program on the computer

    Open Inkscape

  2. Draw a rectangle to match the size of your material

    Draw Material Outline

  3. Draw your design using the tools in Inkscape

    Use Tools

    1. Set the stroke and fill colors for each item you draw based on the following list
      1. Outline Engrave - Blue
      2. Fill Engrave - Black
      3. Deep Outline Engrave - Gold
      4. Deep Fill Engrave - Green
      5. Cut - Red
      6. Material Outline - Pink

        Set Colors

    2. Set the line width for each item you draw to match the kerf for the material that you are using
      1. Use 1.5mm for the Material Outline

        Set Material Stroke Width

  4. Save your design to a USB Flash drive
    1. Use the project name and add your name to the end

      Save the Design

  5. Take the USB Flash drive over to the LightBurn computer to run your design
