====== Procedure ======

Follow the steps below to slice your design so it can be created by the 3D printer

  - Open the Cura program on the computer
  - Click the folder icon in the upper left corner of the window
  - Browse to the .stl file of your design and click the Open button
  - Click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the screen to open the Print settings box
  - Verify the settings are correct for the [[3dprinter:materials|material]] that you will use to create your design
  - Click the x in the Print settings box to close it
  - Rotate your design as necessary to minimize any overhangs when it is created
    - If there are still overhangs then open the Print settings settings box and select the Generate Support option
    - Adjust the support settings if desired
    - Click the x in the Print settings box to close it
  - Click the Slice button in the lower right corner of the screen
  - Plug the USB SD card reader with your microSD card into the computer
  - Click the Save to Removable Drive button
  - Click the Eject button
  - Remove your microSD card and take it over to the 3D printer to [[3dprinter:procedures:rundesign|run your design]]
