 +Follow the steps below to slice your design so it can be created by the 3D printer
 +
 +  - Open the Cura program on the computer
 +  - Click the folder icon in the upper left corner of the window
 +  - Browse to the .stl file of your design and click the Open button
 +  - Click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the screen to open the Print settings box
 +  - Verify the settings are correct for the [[3dprinter:materials|material]] that you will use to create your design
 +  - Click the x in the Print settings box to close it
 +  - Rotate your design as necessary to minimize any overhangs when it is created
 +    - If there are still overhangs then open the Print settings settings box and select the Generate Support option
 +    - Adjust the support settings if desired
 +    - Click the x in the Print settings box to close it
 +  - Click the Slice button in the lower right corner of the screen
 +  - Plug the USB SD card reader with your microSD card into the computer
 +  - Click the Save to Removable Drive button
 +  - Click the Eject button
 +  - Remove your microSD card and take it over to the 3D printer to [[3dprinter:procedures:rundesign|run your design]]
